1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using YAY!, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Description of service
YAY! is a reminder application that allows you to:
- Create and schedule reminders with custom text or voice recordings
- Set one-time or recurring reminders (daily, weekdays, weekly)
- Receive spoken push notifications on your device
- Send reminders to other users who have the app
- Manage your reminder history and friend connections
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use YAY!. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
4. Account registration
To use YAY!, you must:
- Provide a valid phone number for verification
- Create a display name
- Keep your account information accurate and up to date
- Maintain the security of your account
- Not share your account with others
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to use YAY! to:
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or spam other users
- Send inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts
- Send excessive reminders that could be considered harassment
- Use the app for commercial purposes without permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Content and conduct
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create (reminder text and voice recordings). By using YAY!, you grant us a license to store, process, and deliver your content as necessary to provide the service.
Prohibited content
You may not create or share content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or hateful
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains personal information of others without consent
- Is spam or commercial solicitation
7. Friend features
When you send a reminder to another user:
- They must have the app installed to receive it
- They can accept or decline your reminder
- You are responsible for the content you send
- Sending excessive or unwanted reminders may result in account suspension
Recipients can remove you as a friend at any time, which will prevent you from sending them future reminders.
8. Fees and payments
YAY! is currently free to use. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future. If we do, we will notify you and provide clear pricing information before charging.
9. Termination
By you
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
By us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms of Service
- Your account has been inactive for an extended period
- We are required to do so by law
- We discontinue the service
10. Disclaimers
YAY! is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- All reminders will be delivered on time (delays may occur due to device settings, network issues, etc.)
- The service will meet your specific requirements
- All bugs or errors will be corrected
Important: YAY! is a reminder tool and should not be relied upon for critical, time-sensitive, or emergency situations. We are not responsible if a reminder fails to deliver.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, YAY! and its operators shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Damages arising from missed or delayed reminders
- Any content sent by other users
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, these limitations may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless YAY! and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
- Content you create or share through the app
13. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated terms in the app
- Updating the "Last updated" date
- Sending you a notification (for significant changes)
Your continued use of YAY! after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which YAY! is operated, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

16. Miscellaneous
Entire agreement
These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and YAY!.
Severability
If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
No waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
